Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: May 2

Welcome to Mukmit Holidays. By booking any of our tour packages (including Vaishno Devi, Amarnath Yatra, Chardham Yatras, and other Pan-India tours), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a booking.

1. Booking & Advance Payment Policy

To secure your slots, especially for premium helicopter services and luxury hotel reservations, the following payment schedule must be strictly followed:

  • Token Amount: A non-refundable token amount of [Specify Amount, e.g., ₹20,000] per person is required to initiate the booking process.
  • First Advance: 50% of the total package cost must be paid within 7 days of booking confirmation.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining 50% balance must be cleared strictly 15 to 20 days prior to the tour departure date.
  • Mukmit Holidays reserves the right to cancel bookings without a refund if payments are not made according to this schedule.

2. Independent Travel Agent Disclaimer (Helicopter Bookings)

  • No Official Affiliation: Mukmit Holidays is an independent destination management company and travel agency. We are NOT officially affiliated, associated, authorized, or endorsed by any Government Shrine Board, including but not limited to the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (MVDSB), Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), or Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB).
  • Service on Request Basis: Helicopter tickets are highly subject to availability, government regulations, and weather conditions. We do not sell helicopter tickets independently. We only act as a service facilitator to assist and attempt online/offline ticket bookings through official booking portals and authorized aviation operators on the specific request of our clients as part of an all-inclusive tour package.
  • No Guarantee of Tickets: While our dedicated team makes every possible effort to secure helicopter seats for your requested dates, Mukmit Holidays does not guarantee 100% confirmation of helicopter tickets. In case tickets cannot be procured due to heavy rush, technical glitches on official portals, or quota limitations, we will either refund the helicopter component amount or arrange alternative ground transport (like ponies, palkis, or trekking assistance) with the client’s mutual consent.

3. Helicopter Seating & Weight Regulations

Helicopter operations across Katra (Vaishno Devi), Neelgrath/Pahalgam (Amarnath), and Uttarakhand (Chardham) operate under strict aviation safety norms:

  • Baggage Limit: Maximum 5 kg of luggage per passenger is allowed. Only small, soft-sided duffel bags are permitted. Hard suitcases or trolley bags are strictly prohibited.
  • Body Weight: Passengers must provide their exact body weight at the time of booking. If an individual’s weight exceeds $75\text{ or }80\text{ kg}$ (depending on the aviation operator), extra weight charges per kg will apply, or the passenger may need to purchase an additional seat.
  • Discrepancy: If the weight shared at the time of booking does not match the actual weight measured at the helipad, the aviation company has the right to deny boarding without any refund.

4. Cancellations & Refund Policy

If you wish to cancel your tour, the cancellation request must be sent to us in writing via email. The following deduction rules will apply:

  • 30 Days or more before departure: 25% of the total package cost will be deducted.
  • 15 to 29 Days before departure: 50% of the total package cost will be deducted.
  • Less than 14 Days before departure: 100% Non-Refundable / No Show.

5. Weather Conditions & Force Majeure

High-altitude Himalayan regions are prone to sudden weather changes, landslides, and technical snags:

  • Flight Delays/Cancellations: If a helicopter flight is delayed or cancelled due to bad weather, technical issues, or government restrictions, Mukmit Holidays will assist in rescheduling or arranging alternative road transport where possible.
  • Extra Costs: Any additional expenses incurred due to weather delays—such as extra nights at hotels, extra meals, or alternative vehicle arrangements—will be borne directly by the client.
  • Refund for Unutilized Services: In case of complete flight cancellation where no flying takes place, a refund will be processed after deducting the actual operational costs already incurred for hotel bookings, ground transfers, and administrative charges.

6. Health and Medical Compliance

7. Hotel Accommodations & Transport Policy

A. Hotel Booking & Categorization

  • Dynamic Cancellation Policies: Mukmit Holidays customizes packages using various hotels across Pan-India destinations. Please note that individual hotels maintain their own independent cancellation and amendment policies. In the event of a tour cancellation, the specific hotel’s policy will apply over and above our standard terms.
  • Peak Season/High-Altitude Bookings: Hotels booked in high-altitude regions (such as Kedarnath, Badrinath, Pahalgam, Baltal, and Sonamarg) during peak pilgrimage seasons are strictly 100% Non-Refundable and Non-Changeable once confirmed.
  • Check-In/Check-Out: Standard check-in time is usually 12:00 PM or 02:00 PM, and check-out is 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM (depending on hotel rules). Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to room availability and may attract extra charges payable directly to the hotel.
  • Room Upgrades & Amenities: Triple sharing rooms often include an extra mattress or rollaway bed, not a permanent third bed. Facilities like heaters, 24-hour hot water, or Wi-Fi in remote Himalayan regions are subject to local electricity/weather conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

B. Vehicle & Transport Logistics

  • Strict Itinerary Enforcement: Vehicles (AC/Non-AC) are provided strictly as per the pre-approved itinerary. The vehicle is dedicated to your transfers and sightseeing as mentioned in the package and is not available on a disposal basis or for personal random trips.
  • AC Performance in Mountains: Air conditioning (AC) in vehicles will be switched off while driving in hilly terrains/mountain roads for vehicle safety and engine performance.
  • Roadblocks & Landslides: In case of route diversions, road closures, or landslides, any additional driving kilometers or overnight halts at alternative locations will incur extra transport and hotel costs, which must be paid directly by the client on the spot.
